You must drop the fuel tank.
You will have to drop the gas tank, to get to it.
From in the truck, drop panel.
Disconnect the fuel filler hose, drop the gas tank, remove the pump.
depressurize fuel system. loosen gas cap. drop shield pull hoses drop tank pull pump rack replace pump reverse above
you don't you replace the whole hose. i hear it is better to remove the bed, than to remove the gas tank. You can drop the tank, but that is too hard, better lift the bed and do it the easy way. As soon as you begin to lift the bed you have to remove the three screws holding the filler neck to the bed, open the filler door you will see the three screws. Lift the bed and replace the filler neck. also if any other hose is bad you can do those at the same time.
You have to split the transmission, maybe even drop it out. There might be some helpful info on www.autozone.com
Is it still connected to the filler?
2-3 hours at most. It is easy to access becasue it is under the rear seat (don't need to drop the the tank).
Drop the tank. Unbolt pump housing from top of tank and replace. Big job with electrical connections and filler neck considerations to make things a bit more complex. www.trailvoy.com All the answers for your Trailblazer!
