Depending on which one you are replacing (there are 3 on each side) the approach is different. For the brake light, on the outside, you pop off the round caps (where the net attaches, there is one on each side), then lift out the spare tire cover (it covers the lip of the liner across the back), then lift out the trunk liner across the back exposing 2 of the 3 plastic thumb nuts which hold the light assembly in place. You can then pull back the fabric liner directly behind the light assembly exposing the third plastic thumb nut. Take them off and gently push the assembly out. Once the assembly is out you will find 2 bulb sockets. The top one is the turn signal and the bottom is the brake light. To expose the bulbs, push in on the locking tab and turn the bulb socket assembly counterclockwise about 1/4 turn and pull it straight out. Both can be replaced with 3157 bulbs. Reverse the process to complete.
