Replaced the keyboard on a Compaq Presario 2200 Notebook and it worked fine for a few days then started running random keys as if the key is being held down how can it be fixed?

Unscrew the keyboard from the notebook and make sure no keys are being pressed down and also check that the keyboard is mounted correctly.
