To start out I would like to say that there are many things that define what people view as a 'good pet', so first of all I'll begin with this. If you're after a low-ish maintenance, docile, colourful, and friendly pet reptile, then why not try a Bearded Dragon? they are moderately sized, reaching around 35-40cm and are available at most pet retailers for a reasonable price.
Personally, I have one and he is probably the most loving of all of my little reptile friends. A Bearded Dragon is a great choice for owners just looking to start out, or for the more experienced keepers out there. Their lifespan is very considerable, around 20 years if well treated. I recommend buying a baby, and taking it from there on as it ensures that if handled fairly regularly, the baby will become a tame adult in the near future. I say this because many people buy b ds when they are substantially older, thinking that they will be easier to tame and control when in fact they are very sadly mistaken. The lizard will often be untamed, and become aggressive if someone attempts to handle them. Having said all this though, that is preventable by simply purchasing one in its juvenile stages and taking good care of it throughout its life. If you do choose to buy one of these magnificent creatures though, make sure that you read up on them first, and do not try to 'draw the carriage before the horse'. This means that you should fully make sure you know what you are doing before you go and buy the lizard and it's equipment. If this is not done, you could end up giving your lizard a very miserable life indeed, potentially proving to be fatal for it.
Other good options for you are small breeds of frog, and Leopard Geckos.
Hope this helps with your decision.
No, only adult reptiles can make reptiles. If you're familiar with the concept of Tangrams, you can make several reptiles from the seven shapes, after having putting them together to make an isosceles triangle.
Reptiles are cold blooded (cannot regulate body temperature) animals. Reptiles are vertebrates (with a backbone). Their bodies are covered with scales or scutes. They lay eggs. Reptiles skin is tough, rough and scaly.
No,they don't.
Most reptiles exchange gases through their lungs. The lungs of reptiles are folded so as to make enough room for gaseous exchange.

Reptiles don't produce milk but mammals do. Its only because reptiles are cold blooded and mammals are warm blooded!
