Resident evil 5 is the actual game. Lost in nightmares is the DLC (Down-loadable content)
Also their stories are completely different. Lost In Nightmares takes place three years before the events in Africa where Jill and Chris pursue Spencer in his mansion once again. It is set in a very Resident Evil 1 sort of feel but with the same action style as Resident Evil 5.

HIm and the partner and character, Sheva, must once again battle through Umbrella experiments and virus infected people of Kijuju in order to get to the bottom of this terrifying nightmare. It contains the same "over-the-shoulder" gaming experience as Resident Evil 4 and is formattd in a 3D setting, so gaming is very surreal. This is a very good game and highly considered for many Resident Evil fans.
