When there is a different currency to your own, then you have to multiply/divide certain numbers by x to get the answer to what you currency is in Another Country's. Say GBP is 1.0, and USD is 1.6 compared to GBP, and you had a £10 note to change. To work out the amount of $ that you had, you would multiply £10 by 1.6, to get the answer $16.
For time difference, that would fall more into the Geographical category, since you are dealing with longitude and latitude.
