sound more like the Idle air control valve either quit fuctioning or is gummed up veryy common also check the fuel pressure for restricted fuel filter or the fuel pressure regulator has a vacumm leak in it the fuel filter should be replaced every 15000 mo;es but it takes only one bad tank to plug it up
Rough idle, low injector pressure Sputtering stalling. lack of power
Old-style army jeeps were known for their rough engine operation, often described as "coughing" or "sputtering" and "clattering."
If you have replaced plugs and wire most likely one of your coil pack usually run about $50
Pretty much... All Ducati twins seem to have a rough sounding idle. You can hear the clutch rattle and the cylinders make a sputtering sound sometimes... but they sound beautiful revved up. Cheers from citybiker!
Could be broken trans mount or engine mounts. Not sure what is meant by riding rough.
it could have a rough idle, knocking or pinging, sputtering, smell strong like gas, etc. careful when you line up timing, it's best to only have to do it once.
A lot depends on when it is sputtering. Is it hesitating under acceleration? That is what happens most commonly in eclipses. It is probably a misfire in one of the cylinders. Change your plugs and wires.
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
diamonds or broken glass
When it dies, is it a sudden stall, or does it run rough, and then die? If its sudden, it is most likely a electrical problem, but if it runs rough, or dies when accelerating, it might be mechanical. Such as the fuel lines, carb, etc.
