Need some more info like what is the abs doing to act up and what are the driving conditions at the time.
If your brakes are locking up it is because the ABS is not working.
The abs brakes on the back of a 94 S10 are designed to help slow the truck down quickly. Without abs, the brakes can lock up and the truck could slide uncontrollably.
Usually this indicates a problem with the anti-lock brake system. The brake system should still work (as long as the BRAKE light doesn't illuminate), however the brakes may lock up, since the ABS system may not be functioning correctly.
There are many ways to resent an ABS light. You could for example look up the manual for the car.
The ABS light coming on means that the abs is not working. When braking hard the car could lock up the tires and slide.
I have a 98 dodge Dakota and my Abs light has been on for about 6 months. I read in the manual that if that happens you no longer have Abs brakes. Its probably the same for your vehicle.
There could be a lot of causes to this light being on.......... Have a technician hook it up to an ABS computer.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner
It is important to know what the warning lights mean when they light up. The ABS light comes on when there is an issue with the Brake system in a car.
If your ABS light is lit up a problem with the Anti-lock Brake System has been detected . As long as the " BRAKE " light in your dash is not lit up you still have " normal " brakes
the rotors do not have the ridges so the abs sensor can see something.did you purt abs rotors or non-abs rotors on vehicle. most cars light up brake when low on brake fluid, a few cars light up ABS to show same thing. Of course there is the possibility that there really is something wrong with the ABS circuit.

As long as the " BRAKE " light is not lit up in your dash , you still have " normal " brakes ========================================================== In my case the ABS light came on and stayed on . The first ABS fuse that I checked was not installed all the way . I touched the fuse with my finger , heard a click , and the ABS light went out ( just lucky I guess , but still suspicious of how that could have happened )
