The ABS light coming on means that the abs is not working. When braking hard the car could lock up the tires and slide.
The ABS warning light is on to tell you that there is a problem with the ABS system. Take your car to a knowledgeable mechanic and hook it up to a diagnostic tool and source the problem. It can be as simple as a ABS sensor/wire conector or it may be the ABS modual. Fix the problem and the light will go away. Hope this helps. "G"
wheel locks up and abs light come on because abs not working on that wheel lights go dim because alternator not working completely
check the fluid then check the pads and rotors if the rotors are @#$% up that is probably your problem. another thing is if you have different size tires than factory says then you need to have it calibrated
There are many ways to resent an ABS light. You could for example look up the manual for the car.
There could be a lot of causes to this light being on.......... Have a technician hook it up to an ABS computer.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner
It is important to know what the warning lights mean when they light up. The ABS light comes on when there is an issue with the Brake system in a car.
If your ABS light is lit up a problem with the Anti-lock Brake System has been detected . As long as the " BRAKE " light in your dash is not lit up you still have " normal " brakes
the rotors do not have the ridges so the abs sensor can see something.did you purt abs rotors or non-abs rotors on vehicle. most cars light up brake when low on brake fluid, a few cars light up ABS to show same thing. Of course there is the possibility that there really is something wrong with the ABS circuit.
If the ABS light is lit up a problem with the Anti-lock Brake System has been detected . As long as the " BRAKE " light is not lit up in your dash , you still have " normal " brakes ========================================================== In my case the ABS light came on and stayed on . The first ABS fuse that I checked was not installed all the way . I touched the fuse with my finger , heard a click , and the ABS light went out ( just lucky I guess , but still suspicious of how that could have happened )
If your ABS emergency brake light and the track control light show up on the dashboard, you are having a brake problem.
