Safari browser is missing from the apps in your ipod touch any idea how this happened and how to restore the app other than ipod restore?

the computer you are trying to sync it to may have a different version of iTunes than you have. for example the newer ipods wont sync to aything but the newest version of itunes that was out when it was released or any new version that have been released since.
