The Kingdom of God is a phrase Jesus used to describe a level of consciousness that humans can achieve. Ohter faith traditions call this state God Consciousness or Nirvana, etc. It is a state where one is in complete harmony or communication with God as Jesus was. In this state we see the world around us as God intends us to see it. We have unconditional love for all other people, we are grounded in the love of God and we live without selfishness or greed or fear, just as Jesus demonstrated. I am quite convinced that many of the other prophets such as Jeramiah and Amos and Moses experienced this oneness with God but described it in the terminology of their day.
