Where is the tranmission drain plug for my 02 Saturn L300?
Answer:Sorry, no drain plug.
To drain the fluid you need to remove the pan, then to replace the pan you'll need to use a new gasket.
The filter is inside the pan and there is no valid reason to drain the fluid without replacing the filter.
Refilling the Transmission Fluid is another issue for newer vehicles. You won't find the familiar fill tube/dipstick that you've seen in the past. There should be a fill hole on the side of the transmission. You simply pump the fluid into the transmission using the fill hole then when the fluid level is even with the bottom of the hole, it's full. Make sure you've run the engine long enough to fill the torque converter and hydraulic lines, then check the level again.
Saturn's are among the growing number of newer vehicles which use a "sealed" transmission. It doesn't have a dipstick. Fill a Saturn transmission by opening the fill plug on the side of the transmission. Fill the transmission up to the fill plug, then put the plug back.
Where is location transmission plug on Mazda 96 626
where can i find the transmission drain plug for the Mazda
Start by replacing all the spark plugs. If that does not solve the problem then replace the spark plug wires.
On the end of the transmission.
There is a screw-in plug on the side of the transmission. Saturn transmissions do not have a dipstick since they are supposed to be a "sealed" unit.
Found it out myself - plug is underneath the transmission. Takes a 5/8 wrench or socket.
The transmission does not have a drain plug. You have to remove the oil pan to drain.
i have a 2003 Saturn vue and there is no dipstick for the transmission fluid. its a plug. you have to take you car to a shop and get them to check it... i know it sounds crazy. but they usually have to put it on a lift to get to it.
