Bad. Diet soft drinks provide no health benefits with a number of potential risks. People consume diet soft drinks with the hope that by substituting diet drinks for regular, they'll reduce their caloric intake and lose weight. Studies have found that women who are randomly switched to diet drinks lose no more weight than control groups who continue drinking regular beverages. It's been suggested that those drinking diet beverages may compensate by consuming more calories from sweets. A number of studies have called into question the safety of artificial sweeteners. Generally the most significant health effects have been found in animal studies where animals consume many times the normal amount of sweetners found in food. The risk to humans consuming the amount of sweetner found in soft drinks and gum appears to be minimal. Still, is it worth taking any risk with a product that has no benefits? The acidity of most beverages isn't going to do your teeth any favors. Some studies have linked high soft drink consumption to low bone density. Most recently, soft drink consumption (including diet drinks) was linked to a higher risk of Heart disease and Diabetes. Whether this link is correlational or causational remains to be determined. Do soft drinks cause heart disease or is it simply that individuals who consume lots of soft drinks are also more likely to consume unhealthy foods and lead sedentary lives, putting them at risk for heart disease?
A diet soft drink has no sugar in it. It can contain an artificial sugar like aspartame.
The one I am on says you can have two diet soft drinks a day but most of them taste awful to me. I know the water with lemon is a diuretic and helps flush the system
Try and avoid sugar and starchy food like in tea and in soft drinks.
Coke diet coke pepsi
A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand. Seriously though, you already know what's good for you and what isn't. Example- Fresh Fruit & Veg = good for you. Lollies and soft drinks = bad for you.
Not really. You need the liquid, and if you eliminate diet soft drinks, you probably won't replace it with an equal volume of water.
Suicide
It is because of the ingredients phosphoric acid and carbon dioxide. These ingredients have higher levels in diet soft drinks.
yes
Because there is more salt(sodium) in diet drinks that makes more effervescence-more bubbles...I think...that or it is over carbonated to mask that yucky diet taste-maybe they think you wont notice the carcinogenic cancer causing sweeteners...stick to the real thing less dangerous!
Delete all caffeine from your diet: coffee, soft drinks, & chocolate.
