always good scope for mechanical engineering students & they shine always mech rokz..
Mechanical and Automation Engineering is one of the finest branch of engineering. The Modern day Production incorporates the utilization of automation so as to enhance production and decrease the labour requirement. But talking about India, as you know how corrupt and lazy the government sector is, their is hardly any scope for this branch especially when we talk about job opportunities in govt. and Psu areas. Moreover starting from the year 2011 the PSU's have stop taking or considering the students of MAE branch saying that MAE is not equivalent to ME, despite of the fact that a MAE engineer studies all the subjects a ME engineer does. No, their would not be any scope for MAE in India unless and until the orthodox thinking and corruption prevails in India. Note: Future of the Economy is Automation and one day surely, their will be a huge scope of it India too, but not for Now!!!!
mechanical engineering is a stream of engineering which deals with design and manufacturing. It has a tremendous scope in automobile engineering, cement industry, steel, power sector, Hydraulics, etc. It involves applications of all streams of engineering like Civil engineering(mechanics), computer engineering(CAD,CAM,CAE), electronics engineering(mechatronics). It is rightly called a EVERGREEN BRANCH.
bRO , FIRSTLY , IF YOU LIKE DESIGN ENGINEERING THEN YOU CAN YOURSELF CRAVE OUT IT'S SCOPE. IT WOULD BE A LOT BIGGER DETAILED MESS , IF I STARTED HERE ABOUT IT'S SCOPE AREAS. BUT TO CUT IT SHORT , I WOULD SAY THAT, THE SHAPE OF THE WORLD AS YOU SEE IT IS OWNED TO THE DESIGN ENGINEERING. IT CHANGES THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THINGS , SO IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE COUPLE OF AWESOME IDEAS TO CHANGE THINGS AROUND YOU. BELIEVE ME, YOU WILL CREATE SCOPE YOURSELF, WITHOUT LOOKING OR EXPECTING FROM MARKET TREND. nEVER RELY ON , WHAT'S OUTSIDE , ALWAYS LOOK WHAT YOU CAN PUT FORWARD, AMITIES.
Chemical Engineering pays the highest salaries coming out of University, but if one decides to do Industrial/Management Engineering and tries to get their MBA, they are seeing a six figure salary with ease.

yes,All can do mechanical engineering without any hesitate.

mechanical, electrical and biomed
dude, at this time MECHANICAL ENGINEERING holds the best scope... then after that electronics and civil holds good scope...
it has a great scope in coming years as companies are recovering from recession
bhenchod,it has pretty wide scope but u should choose mechanical engg for the best future
i think that in pakistan mechanical electrical and civil has good scope......but it realy depends on ur interest.
Mechanical Engineering has a good scope than ece....ece is all about electric devices and communication devices.......even mechanical engineer can do some of that job....mechanical can go in any field even in IT field if you are good at CAD....so i vote for mechanical......
you just cant imagine it is such a vast field :p World cannot run without you people...i am also doing this engineering from uet.... you can go in nanotechnology, atomic energy, processing of material, designing materials for particular specially in craft designing...steel to ap ka hi raj ha. other fields you can go is composites ceramics etc,,,,,
The scope of what we can do is limited only by your imagination.-Ashish Tank
