In the Scriptures there are many examples of what happened to people after the Holy Spirit came upon them. There are two moments for the Holy Spirit to work in your life, first is upon Salvation and the Holy Spirit dwells within you - afterwards the fruit of the spirit are evident like peace, joy, patience, kindness, long suffering, etc. But the 2nd one was the Power button of Christianity and where the Gifts of the Spirit are given and operate. This is the one that I'm giving Scriptures for:

Acts 1:8, "But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth." (Power to be a witness)

Acts 2:4, "And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words]." (Spoke in tongues)

Acts 4:31, "And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage." (Boldness to speak the Word)

Acts 9:31, "So the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was edified [growing in wisdom, virtue, and piety] and walking in the respect and reverential fear of the Lord and in the consolation and exhortation of the Holy Spirit, continued to increase and was multiplied." (peace & encouragement and a respect for God)

Acts 10:38, "How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him." (power to do good and to heal)

Acts 19:6, "And as Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke in [foreign, unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesied." (spoke in tongues and prophesied)

Romans 15:13, "May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope" (unshakeable joy, peace and hope)

That's just an introduction.

When did the outpouring of the Holy Spirit happen?

The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurred in Acts 2V1- Day of Pentecost. In Acts 2, I am sure you know the story - where the disciples were all in one place with one accord and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the house where they were sitting. It was at this point that that cloven tongues of fire came upon them like fire and it sat upon them.........and so on. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. This is when the outpouring of the Holy Spirit happened.

How does God help you respond to His revelation through the Bible?

If you are a Christian the Holy Spirit dwells within you. It is the Holy Spirit that illuminates you to God's holy Word. If you are an unbeliever you are left stumbling around in the dark. (I Corinthians 2:14, "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned"). Many unbelievers try to explain the Scriptures but they do not see the deeper things of God that a believer sees. Most of what they say about the scriptures is rubbish. This is why we have so much confusion about the Word of God and Christianity.

What Do Confirmation means to other people?

I do not know what your view of confirmation is. Confirmation allows you to be filled with the holy Spirit and to be guided by it. This could mean less sinning and being able to evangelize through the power of the Holy Spirit. It makes you a full member of the Church and makes you more committed to the Church.

How well did the disciples know the scriptures?

The old testament scriptures were the only thing the apostles had.. It is possible that some of the New writings did pass from the hand of one to another who was close by. But, anyway, what they knew was corrected by the Holy Spirit if it had errs... I heard a man say if the apostles could not find the right word to fit the sentence, the Holy Spirit would supply it... Might be some truth to that for there are no errors in the Bible, unless they were added by someone that was copying or translating...

How many people were anointed with the Holy Spirit in the Bible?

It is not possible to know. The Bible does not tell us. We do know that everyone who believes in Jesus as their Savior has been annointed by the Holy Spirit.

What are the signs of the Holy Spirit?

The signs of the Holy Spirit can vary, but common signs include a sense of peace, joy, love, understanding of scripture, and spiritual gifts such as prophecy, healing, and speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit can also guide and empower individuals in their faith journey, helping them grow closer to God.

How is the Holy Spirit real to people?

It depends on the person. As a Christian I know it is impossible to both believe and to do what God requires without the Holy Spirit. He is also the guide who pinpoints and highlights spiritual truth. It is one thing to read the words but quite another to have God's perspective and also to see how so many of the scriptures fit together. This is the Holy Spirit's very real and personal teaching role. Then there is also the work of conviction - that one has got off track or failed to understand what one ought to have known.

Which gift of the holy spirit is also know as the gift of reverence?

This means that God is able to comprehend our thoughts, emotions, and intentions behind our prayers, even if we struggle to articulate them verbally. It emphasizes the belief that God's understanding transcends language barriers and allows for a deep connection with Him.
