If you are wanting to go wireless within your house with other devices then a Wi-Fi router is recommended for purchase or a hardwired router if you want multiple computers to be connected to the internet. If you are needing to connect to the Internet in general though, you'll want a DSL modem first.
In order to set up a home wireless internet connection, you must have broadband service and a wireless router. After connecting your router, use your computer and the router's instructions to set up your network.
The answer is mobile broadband! Mobile broadband provides completely wireless internet access. You take the internet with you and surf the web in your car, on the train, in the airport, at a convention, on the road in your RV... you can even share the connection with multiple computers using a mobile broadband router, just like you could with your broadband connection at home!
It depends on whether both mobile and home broadband are on the same connection or line. If they don't share in the bandwidth of the connection, one shouldn't affect the other.
First of all, you need to buy your laptop a wireless internet card. any will do.. as long as it's made for laptops.. Once you do that, you need to get a broadband connection.. if the broadband connection you get already comes with a modem wich casts a wireless signal, you're good to go, all you would need to do is install the wireless card in you pc. If your broadband modem does not cast a wireless signal THEN you would need to buy a router wich casts a wireless signal and connect the router to your broadband modem. And that's it
You usually do have to set up a network to have wireless broadband service at home, but it depends on the type of computer you are using and your modem or router.
If you have broadband internet at home, buy a wireless router and connect to it with that. There are no other charges.
Verizon does not have any caps on their home broadband internet. You are free to do whatever you wish with your internet connection.
For a wireless home connection, you will need a few items. You will need an internet connection and modem. You will also need a router, which is hooked up to the modem. The router broadcasts a wireless signal which you can connect to with your wireless devices.
To set up broadband internet service, you typically need a modem, which connects to your internet service provider (ISP) and translates the signal for your home network. A router is also essential if you want to share the connection among multiple devices wirelessly. Additionally, Ethernet cables may be required for wired connections to devices. Sometimes, a combination modem-router unit can be used for convenience.
Absolutely! This is the primary function of most home routers.A home router will normally share it's internet connection by default. You could block access to the internet, in which case the computers on your LAN (eg in your house) can still talk to each other through the router, but not to computers outside (ie on the internet). In order to share you must make sure that NAT (Network Address Translation) is enabled. Many home and home/office routers enable this by default and will allow you to share an internet connection out of the box, but some do not. You will have to look for this in the configuration of the device, usually in the WAN or Internet page/tab of the device settings.
You need a Wi-Fi adaptor (if you have a broadband router at home) or a portable hotspot for internet on the go.
I do reccomend buying a router bit for your home. I have a router bit in my home. It helps when it comes to internet connection and things of that sort. Its worth the money you pay.
