I found my answer last year. I bought dinner for a friend who scooped one up for me last black Friday. $300 discount for a $25 dinner. Not a bad trade off.
SO the answer is find a black Friday friend otherwise the odds of any remaining worthy deals by the time you get in the store are very slim.

I love black Fridays because I can get almost anything at a super low price. For example, I can get a TV for up to 50% price reduction, also I can get books and music albums at a low price. It's really nice to have that day once a year but it would be even more fun to have it more times per year.
You should wait for holiday sales, you can find way better deals.
Waiting for the January sales is a good idea if you want to pick up a TV at a good price. Alternatively, if you can't wait that long, many online and brick and mortar stores offer some fantastic sales on Black Friday which falls on 29th November this year. Keep an eye on major online retailer's websites such as Amazon to see what offers they have on TVs.
If you are just wanting to check out the sales, then you shouldn't risk going out on Black Friday just for that. However, most retailers list their sales online and advertise them on tv several weeks before hand and if you do your research in advance and know what you want and where you want to get it from, then its more than worth it to go out and purchase on black friday as the sales can save you quite a bit off.
