When you modified the engine to increase the compression ratio you changed the overall operating characteristics of the engine. You may need to change your spark timing advance curve, fuel metering, and possibly your cam profile and other things to compensate. You may also need to run higher octane fuel as well. That aside, spark plugs one or two ranges colder would probably be a good idea.

Why should a fuse of defined rating not be replaced with one with larger rating?

The fuse is rated to protect the equipment, the supply, and you. Change the fuse for a higher rating and you compromise your safety and equipment and supply safety; increasing the risk of electric shock and of fire.

Is the current in the circuit 80 percent of the fuse rating?

It should be, yes. Never higher.

If you run a Honda 50cc dirt bike on 110 octane gas what will happen?

Congratulations you have just added to the Misinformation Superhighway. Stock specs for Hondas is about 10:1 COMPRESSION The octane rating of gasoline tells you how much the fuel can be compressed before it spontaneously ignites. When gas ignites by compression rather than because of the spark from the spark plug, it causes knocking in the engine. Knocking can damage an engine, so it is not something you want to have happening. Lower-octane gas (like "regular" 87-octane gasoline) can handle the least amount of compression before igniting. The compression ratio of your engine determines the octane rating of the gas you must use in the car. One way to increase the horsepower of an engine of a given displacement is to increase its compression ratio. So a "high-performance engine" has a higher compression ratio and requires higher-octane fuel. The advantage of a high compression ratio is that it gives your engine a higher horsepower rating for a given engine weight -- that is what makes the engine "high performance." The disadvantage is that the gasoline for your engine costs more

How do you get rid of ratings on iTunes that won't go away even when you change the ratings and try to go no rating on the rating menu?

The rating may not be able to be changed once it's entered. If you're desperate to change it, you may need to contact iTunes support for a higher work-around.

Explain the slope rating on a golf course?

Slope rating is the difficulty of the golf course. The higher the rating, then the more difficult one should have. The greens are faster, the course is hilly, and there are many more bunkers.

Will HHO generator increase the octane of fuel?

Yes and No. Hydrogen only has a octane rating of 50, but the properties of Hydrogen let one run higher compression on your engine which in turn will give more power.

What is meant by cetane number?

A cetane number is a rating given to diesel fuels. It is a rating of how fast the diesel fuel ignites under compression. In diesel engines, there are no spark plugs and the engine uses compression (pressure) to cause ignition.
