What specific aspect of Japan`s actions during World War II were you considering as a crime against humanity? Human rights instruments are largely politically-motivated, and there was clearly no appetite among the Allied forces (Russia excluded) to alienate Japan from the world community. All this aside, in the aftermath of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, an argument made to insist that Japanshould observe human rights would appear largely ironic to any American prosecutors.
