Of course not. Americans - as well as people in other countries - should learn to be tolerant. You should NEVER discriminate against a person just because his beliefs are not the same as yours.Just imagine, for a moment, being in their place - imagine people discriminating against you because OTHERS don't agree with YOUR beliefs. It really doesn't matter in this case whether you are a Christian, a Buddhist, an atheist, etc.; the point is, you wouldn't like being treated that way.

∙ 7y agoNO. One of the beauties of the United States is that it is a country specifically created where regulation and control of religion is out of the hands of the federal government. However, while simple banning is an illegitimate process, prospective immigrants who are coming to the United States should be subject to additional screening if it is a serious possibility that such a person is connected to Islamist or Jihadist groups. The tolerance for people of different faiths ends at the point that the person embraces political views antithetical to the continued survival of the United States as a free and secular country. Each rejection, if made, should be based on the personal characteristics of the specific immigrant and not a blanket policy based on religious affiliation.
