No, because the nile perch ate other fish and was hard for people to catch fish because there are a few not that much as they expected there to be. Also people should have not introduse nile perch to lake viktoria because that is where lots of fish swim and people usually catch them and like I have said Nile perch eat fish and only a few people catch lots of fish some catch a few and other people get hungry or starve.
There is no such thing as an Australian introduced species in the Murray River. If it is Australian, it is not introduced. Species which have been introduced from overseas include various species of Carp, Brown and Rainbow trout, Redfin perch and Gambusia. The most prolific of these is the carp.
Yes it should have been introduced long ago.
Sadly current test in Uganda in cooperation with the Chinese government have been almost entirely futile. This is due to the fish utilising the vast depths of lake victory that can not currently be recreated in captivity. From what I have been advise by the Ugandan investment authorities chief fisheries and agricultural specialist it is practically impossible. This is also due to the fact that even if one could force the fish to breed in captivity one would have to have the equivalent of Fort Knox at his dispose, as the Nile Perch feed on other fish mainly Tilapia and catfish. These two fish alone eat 50-60% of the commercial RETAIL price. One would have to raise them in order to feed the Nile perch. My company has started construction of a small fish farm in Uganda. But the feedback we get back from the scientist here in Uganda is that the technology is just not there yet. If it was possible to breed them a single female can live up to 16yr producing over 16million fry. It is every fish exporter dream to maintain a steady supply of Nile perch because the market value continues to rise both locally and internationally to around $6-7 /kg roughly 3-5 medium size fish. Hope it helps.

Yes the Nile or African soft-shell turtle has been recorded in the Nile but is an increadibly rare animal and is believed to have been totally wiped out from Egypt.

The Nile has been flowing since before the begining of history, nobody knows how long it has been there.
The Nile River has been in Egypt since the earliest people lived there. The Mesopotamians were the first civilized group to use the Nile for irrigation and transportation thousands of years before Christ.
No the Nile is in Egypt, far away from Babylon which is in Iraq. The Iraqi Babylon which is the famous city of the Bible, is close to the river Euphrates. However there was a part of the old city of Cairo which was known as Babylon and that would have been quite close to the Nile. It should not be confused with biblical Babylon.
