Yes. When I first got my male shih tzu (he was 12 weeks old), he had very dark brown markings and white fur, but now (he is 2 years old) he has very light tan and white fur. The brown markings faded.
a shih tzu has two coats the lower coat is curly while the top coat is long and straight
A shih tzu will get along with any puppy as long as you do not wait too long to get the new dog. You should get the new puppy before the shih tzu's 3rd or 4th birthday. As with most dogs, if you wait too long to get a puppy, the older dog will have no desire to keep up with the puppy.
a shih tzu puppy costs around 300-400 pounds but it really depends were you get the puppy from
shih tzus don't normally molt.
Love & attention
A.S.A.P!! your breeder should have done it when the dog was pregnant and first couple of weeks old.
no you should not because that is what protects them from the sun. its basically their suncream!
about 9months- a year
At 12 months it should be hitting the floor but that does not mean its fully grown into a full coat the shih tzu will have its full think double coat at about 2-3 year depending on hair type. now the hair above the nose is a different story it will be able to going a rubber band at about 6-7 months but wont be fully grown out till around 1-2 years. i am currently growing out y shih tzu puppy now and have a ale eho is full grown he has a full think double coat which is hard to remove mats because there's only minimal grooming aloud on a show shih tzu as far as cutting the hair so all mats have to be brushed, conditioned out.
get treatment and love it as much as possibe.
It probably means that the shih tzu ate something, like cheese... Cheese does cause that...
