While all matter is made up of chemicals, a more useful classification is to recognize that asbestos is a mineral, rather than to call it a chemical.
a substance that is classified as salt
SUBSTANCE
Finding out that asbestos is dangerous and limiting its use in building materials
Asbestos (particularly blue asbestos)
a chemical change alters the materials chemical makeup and physical change just alters the appearance and it remains with the same chemical composition
Asbestos is beneficial in many ways. It is fire-resistant, is sound absorbing, and is also resistant to electrical, heat, and chemical damage. However, some of the chemical properties of asbestos are known to cause lung cancer and mesothelioma, so I would consider it not an important part of a newer house remodeling.
If one has asbestos in a building one should get a qualified technician to inspect for any damage to the asbestos. If there is no damage, it can be left but must be monitored. If damage is present, the area containing asbestos should repaired or the asbestos removed by a professional.
Asbestos
Mutagens
You're generally not going to find asbestos in a residential dwelling, so don't worry about it. If you get asbestosis or mesothelioma from occupational asbestos exposure, then yes, you should get a lawyer.
Asbestos was generally used on steel I-beams in buildings to insulate from fire and electrical damage.
Chemical Property!!!
If you have an asbestos problem in your building, then yes, you should consider hiring an asbestos attorney. However, you should probably first make sure there is an architectural problem before doing so
Asbestos
Minerals aren't classified because Toby McDonough is more fabulous then you. End of story...or should I say, End of the World ;)
No, not all vermiculite contains asbestos. You should have it tested.
The igneous geodes are classified as intrusive and the sedimentary geodes are classified as chemical based on properties.
