Yes as soon as you turn on the key in fact.
Add gas, cycle key a couple of times. Engine should strart after a little bit of cranking.
The PCM, engine computer, controls the fuel system.
Yes, the RPM gauge should move when cranking the engine, as it indicates that the engine is being turned over by the starter motor. However, the movement may be minimal or fluctuate depending on the engine's condition and the cranking speed. If the gauge does not move at all, it could suggest a problem with the gauge itself, the vehicle's electrical system, or the engine not cranking properly.
To check if injectors are getting power, you can use a multimeter to measure voltage at the injector connector while the engine is cranking. Set the multimeter to the DC voltage setting and probe the connector terminals; you should see a voltage reading (typically around 12 volts) if the injectors are receiving power. Additionally, you can listen for a clicking sound from the injectors while an assistant cranks the engine, indicating they are being activated. If there is no voltage or clicking, further investigation into the wiring, fuses, or engine control unit may be necessary.
when cranking the engine the battery voltage should not fall below 9.6volts if so replace battery
A 2002 Chrysler Town and Country should have a 3.8L V6 engine.
To test the electrics to the injectors on a Peugeot 406 HDi, you should first check the injector connectors for proper voltage using a multimeter while cranking the engine; you should see around 12V at the connector during cranking. Next, check for continuity in the wiring from the ECU to each injector. Additionally, verify the ECU's operation and ground connections, as a faulty ECU can prevent injector firing. Other likely causes for the engine not firing could include a lack of compression, fuel pressure issues, or a malfunctioning crankshaft position sensor, which can also be tested with appropriate diagnostic equipment.
RPM Relay The pulse from this relay, tells the computer to send electricity to the fuel pump to provide fuel to the injectors to start the engine. The pulse is detected from the ignition system while the engine is cranking.
not enough information is really given here, what engine? is it cranking over (meaning when you hit the key does the engine turn)? do you have fuel? do you have spark at all plugs? is the fuel filter clogged? is fuel getting to the injectors?
V6 engine - 6 fuel injectors V8 engine - 8 fuel injectors
Well the first thing i would check is the battery if the engine is not cranking, if it is cranking the you would probally check the ignition system[spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil] next you would check the fuel lines/injectors/pressure.
They should if it's the same size engine.
