Opinion for
Yes. All children deserve a good home, and the world has overfilled orphanages and foster homes. Studies show that the children of gay couples and single parents do just fine, and grow up happy and well-adjusted. To say that singles and gay people shouldn't adopt is pure ignorance.
Opinion against
Well, it is a matter of opinion.
I personally think singles should be able to adopt. Taking into consideration that there are plenty of children out there who deserve a happy life, i can garantee that not every orphanage is supportive enough. Furthermore, we have plenty of single parents, doing a fantastic job is looking after their loved ones. Of course they will need to be at a healthy state to do so.
Im not so sure about gays though. This may not be so positive for the child's psychological health. Children tend to see their firends and the people around them with two opposite genders. You must also think about school life, ususally students first sex ed lesson is in year four, the child may be in a confused state, and bullying may occur.
No wrong ideas, i do support gays. They should have equal rights like everyone else. However, for them to be able to adopt it hink the child must be at a age, where they know what they are facing, as many children do not know what 'gay' is.
Overall, i think singles should be allowed. One day, gays may be too. [FYI: Gays are allowed to adopt now, and there are no issues with it.]
If the disabled person is capable of taking care of the child and seeing to its needs then their disability should be no hinderance to being able to adopt a child.
Prior to the 1960's gay people could only adopt if they were closeted. Starting in the late 60's gay people began to demand the right to adopt. Openly gay people have only been able to adopt since the 1980's.
You still should be able to adopt.

well you should be able to but if not then just do it secretly until you can but if you don't want to do that then have you mom adopt her under your name

There are many events put on locally for singles people. You may be able to find a singles dance, singles restaurant outings, and sports game packages catered towards singles.
Blind people are able to adopt. They face the same standards as everyone else -- the ability to provide a safe, adequate home and parent a child. Most blind people are so capable.
yes you should be able to adopt the children if you have a stable environment for them
Being over 40 is not an impediment to adoption; as long as your background, finances and health are ok, you'll be able to adopt.
