If you believe your thoughts will lead to action of a homicidal nature you must urgently seek psychitric help and honestly discuss your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and destructive intentions if any.

There are many factors involved in the nessessary theraputic action to be taken.

This depends on if you already have a diagnosis of a specific mental health illness and on your behavioral and mental health history. The psychiatrists should know what your options are and unfortunately if your thoughts are interfering negatively with how you are functioning alone and in society then I am not aware of many options other than voluntarily going into a psych ward, taking pills and opening up to a psychiatrist.

Even if you don't want to carry out your thoughts of a homocidal nature or think that you never will, you must not underestimate the possibility of your thoughts leading to action. Then what?.....You end up in a prison psychiatric ward!

It is best to confront your need for more psychiatric help now!

You obviously WANT more help so you must seek it until you are satisfied that 'the help' is actively helping you to help yourself. Maybe you could consider experienced and qualified therapists that deal with thought patterns,processes and behaviour in addition to talking to psychiatrists.

Maybe there are options for you to live in sheltered housing where you can live independantly and have daily or regular visits from mental health workers who can help you manage problems in your day to day functioning and continuously monitor yyour mental health. This may feel more like a human existence as opposed to being in a psych ward. However, if you feel you are likely to offend you must aknowledge how serious and damaging this is and always be honest to yourself and your fellow humans and take all the help you can get, even if it's not the help you want.

A brain scan may be of use to determine any possibility of brain damage to the prefrontal cortex, which is the area of the brain that relates to thoughts and behaviours. Damage can create destructive thoughts and behaviours.

I have seen the effects of a person with homicidal thoughts not seeking help and it is through this experience that i answer your question. Every individuals experience of their inner self and external reality is unique depending upon various factors, including; biological makeup, childhood, adolecent and adult experiences and drug use.

You have an advantage in that you WANT to help yourself, so don't give up!
