Yes.....is what the last person said. I am correcting it by saying that legitimate hunting is good for the earth. Hunting, especially in the New World, is well regulated. It is used as a means of population control. This control allows for food to be distributed more evenly across animal populations which keeps more animals alive. This is because more animals will die on roads, from urbanization and from starvation that are killed from hunting. Hunting is a legitimate sport and is also necessary. The people at PETA and the like that protest hunting by default promote the starvation of animals.
Mushroom hunting isn't a sport that I know of. Cool hobby though.
To my mind, hunting purely for sport is much worse than hunting for commerce - at least commercial whale hunting has a purpose, to use the whale products. However, I leave it to the experts to calculate whether some species of whale could sustain hunting, some certainly cannot at present.
they hunted for food, likely not for sport
No hunting is not cruel, Hunting is a sport. Where do you think all the meat that we eat comes from.
