It all depends on the bearings that you need to replace! Get some quotes! If it is bearings inside the engine, then the mechanic you go to is going to have pull the engine anyways, so if there are no other problem with your engine but some bearings then i would just have the bearing replaced, but if you have other problems due to the bearings going out, then i would replace the engine. Hope i helped
Replace the Mazda engine.
I recently did this for my 2004. I found it was cheaper to replace the entire wheel hub then to buy the bearings. The bonus is the new wheel hub comes with the bearings already to go.
You have to buy the wheel bearing assembly.
you need to buy bearings and bearing races most times they will come as a set you will also need axle seals and you will need bearing grease
Wheel bearings on 1995 Geo Prizms are sealed units and cannot be repacked with grease. You must buy new bearings to be pressed on hubs by mechanic with proper tools. If bearings are worn, replace ASAP before bearings start damaging hubs, you'll save bunches of money.
you don't. buy a new wheel hub
replace the motor. you can buy a new one or find a junkyard/salvage yard and get a used one, and some even install them
if engine has 4 plugs buy 4 if engine has 6 plugs buy six
Yes, I have done it. It took about 15mins once it was removed from the ceiling, the fan I fixed required only 2 inexpensive bearings (6202 or 6203 I think).
www.zshred.com they have really good bearings and a lot more
balls?
Call a mechanic. This is not an "at home" type of repair. To replace pistons, you must tear the entire engine down, and replace all gaskets and bearings. I assume you are thinking of lower compression pistons for a turbo build up. Don't bother. Buy a complete engine with the turbo and duct work from a wreck, if available. You could spend more trying to rebuild yours.
