It's up to you but if the room is quite dark I wouldn't worry about covering the cage. But if it sleeps in a light room then yes cover it with eg. a tea towel.
Probably a good idea. It will keep a breeze out. Don't cover the whole cage as the bird needs to breathe.
It can get a little crazy with so many budgies in one cage, but if the budgies get along and dont fight it should be okay for them all to nest in one cage.
If you want to breed budgies no because if they fall from the nest the chickens will kill them the same sometimes happens with adults so it is best not to even if you're not breeding
There are too many variables to know what an "average" cage is. Part of it depends on the dimensions of the cage, part of it depends on the shape of the cage, and a lot of it depends on the budgies themselves. Females in particular can be territorial and aggressive.
Mating and living in the same cage does not require both budgies to be the same age.
Possibly if they are kept in the same cage and offered a nesting box, but usually budgies are monogamous.
Birds including budgies do not get 'pregnant' they lay eggs, incubate the eggs which then hatch into chicks.I saw my budgies mate together Dec. 26, 2010. I separated them to another cage, away from my other 3 budgies. I put in their cage 2 nesting boxes. Every day I checked for eggs. Today, Jan. 24, 2011, I found 2 eggs in the corner of their cage, on the floor of the cage. They did not like the nesting boxes I provided. That is about a month gestation.
no only if theyre very tired they really are lovely pets but be warned they are very noisy animals if your keeping them happy.i should know i have two:)at night you should put a towl over there cage so they wont make much noise.hope i helped!:D
Yes they can but If your talking about in the same cage then still the answer is yes but you will need a bigger cage cos you don't want the poor things to get cramped! P.S. But just remember that having be three budgies in the cage they might spend more time together than they will with you. HOPE THIS HELPED!
100 budgies aren't going to need a cage, they're going to need an aviary.
He sleeps in a nest or a cage it depends on where you keep him.
It depends on the behavior of your budgies. If they are aggressive or like to stick around by the 2 mating budgies, I would suggest separate them because the female won't be comfortable with the distraction of the other 2 budgies. However, if the other 2 rarely come by the 2 mating budgies or completely ignore them, I suggest keep the two there.
