Most police forces or departments do have special gang or hoodlum squads and they do train frequently using anti-gang tactics. They always keep files on gang groups and individuals. Some law enforcement agencies have special groups to tackle the gangs like the mafia, outlaw bikers etc. The FBI in the US should handle that. Cops are always on the move against gangs with new techniques and courses.

i believe that would b considered profiling which is not legal. WRONG, it's legal! Not right, and definitely controversial, but racial profiling happens all the time and it's technically not against the law. They do it in airports too to pick on Arabs.

I don't believe it should happen. What we have in the US now is a judicial system that is much more likely to put a black man in jail than a white man who committed the same crime. Oppressing a people is not going to help the problem of gangs, and white gangs exist, they're called skinheads, but you don't hear about their violence and corruption the way you hear about black gangs.

I do agree profiling as a whole can be an ugly mess and infringe on our rights. However, as with everything, it's not always gonna work out perfectly due to 'humans' doing the job. I feel that insofar as gangs are concerned they are primarily comprised of certain races to begin with. In order to fight gang crime and subsequent activities, racial profiling 'has' to exist to a certain degree in order to deter against the crime itself.

It is a fact there are skin heads out there in the world. In my opinion you hear about black gangs more because it seems to have been glamorized starting in the 1990's; Primarily in rap songs as well as the videos portrayed on television. Because of WWII and the Holocaust, the majority of the nation looks down on the KKK and skin heads therefore, making that the possible reason as to why you don't hear much about skin heads. Their numbers are so small now in comparison to 100 years ago. I spend a lot of time watching shows about gangs. There are so many types of gangs out there it is unreal. Motorcycle gangs, race gangs, color gangs (e.g., crips and bloods), girl gangs, etc... In order to fight gang crime, there has to be some type of profiling to get to the basis of why people join it in the first place. If it is primarily due to race, then that needs to be explored so as to possibly eliminate the problem.

Why are gun control laws ineffective?

Some argue that gun control laws are ineffective because they primarily target law-abiding citizens, rather than criminals who obtain firearms through illegal means. Additionally, criminals can still find ways to access and use firearms even if stricter gun control measures are in place. Moreover, the effectiveness of gun control laws can vary depending on the specific policies implemented and the enforcement of those policies.
