It would be great for the kids and society if at least one of the parents could spend worthwhile time with the kids. However we live in a society where the model for economicsuccess depends on expansion in order to make a few people very rich and this means that to have a reasonable life for the family we now require the efforts of two people instead of one. effectively making society cultureless as nothing gets passed on through the generations.
That is something she has to decide for herself. There is no difference in children with stay at home moms vs those who had moms who worked. If she does not want to stay home she should not. This is supposed to be a time to enjoy.
