The question as to whether mothers should work is one each mother should evaluate personally. Because child care is so expensive it is sometimes cheaper for a mom to stay home rather then work.
* I think that mothers should work if they want to but some of my mum's friends said that they sometimes regret not working. But my mum complains that she wishes she didn't work when I was a baby but then she said that her friends regretted not working so she then changed her mind and knew she was lucky to have a job like what she has got.
* It is up to each individual person to decide whether they will work or not, given the factors of necessary income and support, and an occupation to occupy time.
It depends. Technically, a mother can just sit around all day doing nothing. However, isn't it work to become a mother? Also, just because someone doesn't have a job doesn't mean they don't work. Another thing is, you don't get a get out of work free card if you're a mother. You would need to support yourself financially somehow. This question is a bit vague.
This is really not a straight up yes or no question, because no two families are exactly the same.
It really depends on the household and situation. Some mothers want to stay home, whereas others either aren't that great at it or just don't want to. Not all situations allow for a parent to stay at home, and two incomes are required.
It has been shown in some studies that it is good for children to have a constant parent or grandparent in the home with them, but it does not necessarily have to be the mother. Stay at home fathers are actually becoming more mainstream.
They don't HAVE to. My next door neighbour's wife doesn't go to work and they are living a legal life.
Many mothers have to work to pay the bills. Some are single mothers, others work because it takes two paychecks to pay the bills. Some work because they enjoy their job.

Work at home mothers get paid in multiple ways. First they will earn direct income for the work they do. Second, they save money on child care costs. These benefits are leading a growing number of mothers out of the workplace.
