heater core may be leaking or hole in floor
the seal on the valve cover needs to be replaced. my 2000 neon had the same problem. I replaced the seals in the valve cover and it fixed the problem. The kit came with the seals for the spark plugs.
On a 2000 Lincoln LS : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is located in the drivers foot well , behind the kick panel ( there is an access hole )
You have to take the bolt out of each of the coils, pull the coils out from under the fuel rail and the are down in the hole. Screwed into the heads.
Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug and make sure it will not touch the spark plug. Or, you can remove the spark plug, but be sure and cover the hole so no debris will fall into the cylinder.
If you are asking about compression numbers, they should be around 150psi.
You should never need to replace the wires leading to the spark plugs. The 2003 Miata has a coil pack at each spark plug (inside the spark plug hole). The wires leading to the coils are low voltage and should never break down.
take off the air tube running between air filter and the throttle body, then you will see a black rectangle cover remove the 4 bolts, lift off cover and there is your coil and spark plug wires, then pull off boot look into hole and you will see spark plug at bottom of hole.
To change ther spark plugs on a 2000 Lincoln Ls V-8 you will need to remove the cover attached to the valve covers. There are 6 bolts (metric size 7) on each cover. Then remove the bolts that hold the coilpack inplace. There is one coil for each spark plug. Pull the coil pack and plug wire out of the spark plug hole. Then remove the spark plug (5/8). Replace the spark plug and I would suggest changing the plug wire ( this the rubber tibe and coil spring) when changing the spark plugs. After replacing the spark plugs, wiring and coils reinstall the cover. This takes some time the first time you do it. I work on cars all the time (hobby) and it took me about 1 1/2 hours to do the spark plug and wire change. It is a lot eaiser on my 73 Mustang. I hope this will help you.
SO ez a cave man could do it! Make sure you blow out the cylinder hole with air before removing the spark plug. New plugs should always be checked for gap and installed with clean dry threads( do not use anti sieze) Secure to the factory torque value.
Remove the individual coil packs located under the chrome fuel rails, just above the valve covers. Directley under the coil will be a spark plug boot, remove the boot & spark plug will be set into the hole. Will need about a 6" extention with a 5/8" spark plug socket to access.
