No. they text and drive because of sheer stupidity.
TO get away from there parents. That's why so if this is a parent asking the question there is your answer.
If you are worried about what they are doing or who they are texting then its alright, but otherwise its a massive invasion of privacy.
Yes it is very important for them to learn how to drive well. But it should not be a very expensive car.
Because parents don't usually text a lot because they don't try to learn technology.

parents should be able to check their kids text messages if they are suspicious about something or that they think their child is lying to them about something, but other than that children should have some freedom. It also depends on the age of the child. children should be able to have secrets too, but if you are really really concerden maybe you can check in one ot two times
The text doesn't mention their parents.
text does not state
you should never really keep anything from your parents. they will find out eventually. you should tell them that you have a boyfriend ok so if ur not supposed to have a boyfriend wat u need to do is remember his phone number and dont have him as a contact in ur phone and whenever u text him delete the messages roght away but u should tell ur parents cuz theyll be happy if u tell the truth and dont lie
Teens LOVE going places, so a teen being able to drive is good for the parents, because, as you probably know, parents hate taking their children places, so if a teen can drive, they can bring themselves there instead. This also includes to the grocery store if their parents need something from there. =) As for teens, being able to drive gives them the freedom that they want.
