∙ 11y agoI think that when people are talking about 'putting down', or 'putting to sleep', or 'putting out of misery', or 'laying down' animals, they should really just say 'kill'. Why? Because that's what it is and it will never change or get better no matter how many names you give it. 'Euthanize' and 'shoot' are different, because they're methods of killing animals. But 'put down', 'put to sleep', 'put out of misery', and 'lay down' all just mean kill. Just in case you're wondering, yes, I am against euthanasia.
