What are some reasons why students should take fewer school courses?

∙ 13y agoYes, they should because, most sports practice everyday of the week, they wont have a lot of time to do their homework, and if students do more than one sport dont have anytime to do any homework or even attempt to get a little done. so student athletes should take fewer courses for their time sake.
No, they should not be able to. School is for learning, not for someone to get a free academic ride because of their hobby. And sports - by the way - is a hobby. There is no more reason for letting a footballer have less classes - and the same degree - then there is in letting someone who goes to church five times a week, or likes collecting stamps, or enjoys hanging out with friends!
They are all hobbies, past times and recreational activities, and none of them have anything to do with learning.
One either takes the classes and gets a degree, or quits to pursue their hobby.
