No, because at 16 your (most likely) only a junior (may vary). Either way, you will still be in highschool and your education is not over.
You should be able to because you are old enough to make your own decisons but in my opinion dropping out is NOT the right decison. You could miss alot of teachings that you should know and why drop out when you already came this far.

In my opinion, kids should not be able to drop out of school till they're a legal adult (18 years old). Resent studies show that below that age, they are too young to make that important decision.
