Why is the Iraq war happening?
The Iraq war aqainst the America is happening becaouse President George Bush said there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq so they went to war to get rid of them. Actually, that's not why were at war. War in the middle east has been going on longer than you think, and it's not because there are weapons of mass destruction. Mostly now it's peace keeping missions, we as Americans and allied forces are trying to build the middle east into countries that are not runned by Al Quida.

Its top priorities in disarmament negotiations are Weapons of mass destruction (nuclear weapons, and chemical weapons), conventional weapons which can be deemed as injurious, and the reduction of armed forces. So any issue related to weapons and the reduction of armed forces would be addresed by the UNDC. The justification for war in Iraq in 2003 was the weapons of mass destruction, which, it turned out, did not exist. From the evidence emerging at the current enquiry in Britain it seems likely that the intelligence info about WMDs was overstated within government, and that Bush was looking for an excuse to got to war to bring about regime change, i.e. to get rid of Saddam. Looking at the turmoil in Iraq since then it seems unlikely that the war was justified, but that's a persional opinion, as will be any opinion about that war.
