Yes, but only to do the most basic focusing. Keep in mind that you can break your slide if you move too close with the coarse adjustment knob and any focusing close to the slide should be done with the fine adjustment knobs. (taught HS Chemistry). Hope that helps!
The course adjustment knob must be turned forward only while watching from the side to ensure that the microscope's objective lens moves closer to the specimen. This allows for focusing on the specimen and achieving a clear image. Turning the knob in any other direction may result in moving the objective lens away from the specimen, leading to an out-of-focus image.
Of course it is. How else can you explain "magic bullets," imploding buildings, the synchronicity of some tv dramas and the news, etc.

One has to have perfect eyesight to enter air force pilot training course. The vision must be 20/20 without aid of lenses. Also there should be no other vision problem like color blindness.
Varies place to place. Anywhere from 3,000 feet to 22,000 feet. At Chicagoland Skydiving Center where I jump at they have 5,000, 9,000, 14,000, and 18,000 foot jumps. Sometimes once a year they will do a 22,000 foot jump. Just depends on where you go.
course adjustment
Course Adjustment and Fine Adjustment Knobs.
The course adjustment moves the stage of the microscope further/closer away from the objective lens (it is used for general focusing), and the fine adjustment moves the objective lens very small distances for finer focusing.
Either Fine or Coarse adjustment.
it is how you operate the microscope just adjust he course adjustment knob for focusing the fine adjustment knob
For course focusing the primary stage is used.
on a high powered setting the course adjustment knob would move the slide up and down too quickly to be able to work properly. the course adjustment knob should only be used on low power settings
The fine focus knob is used to bring an object into fine focus, while the course focus knob is used to bring an object into approximate focus. The course focus knob should only be used on the low-power and scanning objectives of the light microscope. Using it on the high power microscope is okay, but you should be very careful. It is no recommended to use the course adjustment knob on the oil-emersion objective as it is so close to the stage and could lead to a potential break in the slide. Fine focus adjustment knob is useful to bring out the fine details in the specimen on your slide. Can be used on any of the objectives, but most receptive on the high-power and oil-emersion objectives.

Teachers should think about the question "What skills and knowledge do you want students to acquire by the end of the course or term" because then the teacher can establish objectives with measurable outcomes. Students can use objectives as a way to meet small goals throughout a class/course or term.High school students and college students should alsoconsider what they want to learn and then establish small goals to meet the objectives a teacher or instructor establishes.
