for 3 years? absolutely. If he's putting it off or making excuses, those are signs that he doesn't take the relationship seriously, he fears his family will be judgmental toward you, or vice versa.
However...he fears his family will be judgemental? How is this a problem? Are we talking about a Man or a teenager?
Three years and she know nothing....pretty good for him. He could be married, have other women....what he is not is invested this relationship.
