The lion is a vulnerable species. There has been a major population decline of its natural range of 30-50% every 20 years since the 1950s. In the wild, lions live 10-14 years. In captivity they can live longer than 20 years. In today's zoos, the lions are kept in a large compound or park. They have a constant supply of food and are attended by veternarians who specialize in lion health. Zoos offer the general public a chance to see animals up-close-and-personal that they would never have a chance to witness otherwise.
This is a matter of opinion; in my opinion tigers shouldn't be kept in zoos. On the other hand, not everyone can go into their natural habitat and see them - also if they are ill why can't we multitask and show them off to the public?
where else would you keep them?
no
Zoos help people see animals that they otherwise wouldn't be able to be see. Some people are against them, but in general Tigers are amazing and beautiful and are definitely the kinds of animals that zoos are created to house. So yes, in my opinion, tigers should be in zoos.
no they should be free
That is a matter of opinion.
No animals should be kept in zoos, they should be free or be release back into their native habitat after rehabilitation.
Of course tigers have been seen at zoos. They are one of the star attractions
Some people believe that animals can be kept in zoos. One positive reason given is to keep threatened species alive. Many people belive that it is wrong to keep any wild animal in a zoo. It does come down to a matter of opinion. Some more modern zoos do at least give the animals large open spaces to live in without cages - but they are enclosed.
these are some: that toys are a waste of money kids should vote for prime ministers animals should be kept in zoos, or the opposite animals should be not kept in zoos schools should be banned we should have more bike roads then cars
Tigers do not live in the wild in Texas, and they never have. However, at least hundreds, if not thousands, of tigers are kept as pets there, some of which are kept there illegally. Note that tigers aren't meant to be pets; they can be very dangerous and shouldn't be confined to cages.
Yes, there are living Sumatran tigers. 85 in European zoos and 20 in Australian zoos.
Tigers live in the U.S of A northern area... only in zoos o'course though!
No, animals kept in zoos are there for breeding purposes, or for the public to enjoy.
