I just wanted to say that in my opinion is up to the person, my wife is always shaving it but when she gets her period she lets it grow and by 2 weeks its hairy and i like it both ways, so for me im happy my wife lets it grow and then she shaves it.

To cut pubic hair, or to shave it, or to just leave it alone, is an entirely personal decision, which might or might not be reached in consultation with a partner.

The same applies to any body or scalp hair. The final decision is up to the owner and grower of the hair.

It is a matter of personal preference. Personally, I'd be cautious about doing it for a few reasons:
- it makes you look like you are about 11, which can be disturbing for your boyfriend or husband
- it itches when it grows back
- it only grows back thicker
- it can make you "more sensitive" which can be good during sex, but can be bad during (say) horseback riding.

But it really is a personal choice (although you might want to talk it through with your boyfriend/husband so that he doesn't get a total shock...).

No, women should have pubic hair - thus why we do!

Pubic hair is a sign of sexual maturity, it helps to attract mates by trapping scent, and helps to protect the genitals from damage, dirt, as well as reducing risk from STD transmission due to skin-to-skin contact during sex. Shaving or otherwise removing pubic hair all has risks such as irritation, cuts, ingrown hairs, infected ingrown hairs, and cysts.
