Not necessarily, it depends on the hair color process you would be using. For lightener your hair does not have to be clean as you apply it to dry hair. For a semi-permanent hair color it can be applied to dry hair and or towel dried hair. Temporary colors can also be applied to dry hair or towel dried hair. Read the directions on the back of the color application and the directions should tell you whether to shampoo and towel dry or apply to dry hair only.

You apply your masque/mask once a week, maybe twice if your hair is dry or damaged. I reccomend NuNAAT Kertain silky hair masque. It hydrates hair and helps it be more managable by untangling. If your hair is normal to dry or dry to frizzy, this is the one for you. this is normally around $5-$16 Directions: wet hair, apply shampoo as normal. Wash shampoo off as normal. Apply as much as needed of the masque on your hair (dont forget the tips) leave in for 10-15 minutes (you may want to get out of shower, or just wash body, but just dont get hair wet again, it will wash it out) Wash out thoroughly after 10-15 minutes dry hair (dont blow dry, this dries out hair and makes it brittle, if you do it constantly) Brush hair Enjoy the silkyness!!
