If your period lasted 3 or 4 days before you started birth control is it normal that since you have been on the pill you sometimes have it for about 17 days or more?

No it sounds like the pill is doing more harm then good. A normal period only lasts about a week. You should consult a doctor about changing the birth control you are on, because it sounds like it isn't strong enough.

I just started taking the pill this Saturday and Thursday i had unprotected sex. Friday i missed my pill what are the chances ill become pregnant?

Was Saturday the first time you ever took it? If so, you should have been advised to complete your pack for an entire cycle(1 month) before having unprotected sex. If you missed a pill Friday and you just started taking your birth control, then sorry, but you've just officially screwed up your birth control. If you had been on your birth control for more than a month, then missing your pill on Friday would not be a big deal. Best thing for you to do at this point is to contact your doctor or pharmacist about what you should do. They will probably say that you need to either stop the birth control you are on right now and take a pregnancy test if you miss your cycle or continue taking your birth control and then complete another month of birth control BEFORE you have unprotected sex again. If you're going to have sex, please be responsible about it! If you are over 17, you can go to your pharmacist within 72 hours of unprotected sex and get the morning after pill. However, this will mess up your birth control for a month's cycle. Best thing for you to do is to take your birth control like you should and avoid unprotected sex! If you've got to have sex, use a condom and spermicide.

If at 17 not sexually active but should they go on birth control to regulate myself?

No. Actually when starting birth control it can cause your periods to be irregular at first.

Can a boyfriend pick up a morning after pill from planned parenthood?

Yes if he is 17 or older, or if you already have a prescription on file there and he's just picking it up (just as if he were picking up your birth control pills for you).

Will they sell birth control for 17 yr olds?

Yes. Some birth control for females will require a prescription, however, but you can buy condoms in a store.

What pill can you buy to prevent pregnancy if you're 16?

In the US you will need parental permission in most states to get the birth control pill. In all states do you need parental consent to get the morning after pill since you are below 17.Other countries have different ages of consent anddifferent rules governing contraception. Your local pharmacy, family planning clinic or school nurse will explain the local rules to you.

Can a 17 year old girl in Illinois get birth control pills without parents consent?

Hi my name is Xavier and the last time I checked you can get birth control at 17 without a parent because you are pretty much grown at this age, its just official at age 18. They have places like plan parenthood and other resource that provide birth control, condoms, and friendly conversation. If you are asking for yourself I am proud of you for wanting birth control, cause at your age I had gave birth to my first child!

Do you need blood taken to get put on birth control?

No, not necessarily. I am 17 and I went in and I got started on the pill and they just gave me a prescription. They may check to see if your pregnant before they give you your prescription but no, I have never heard of them taking blood for that purpose unless to check for stds in your blood.

I took the morning after pill after a week and a half of being pregnant but now I am 17 weeks pregnant and discovered my baby has a defect called Gastrochisis could the pill have caused this defect?

Gastrochisis is congenital, and it is unlikely that birth control medication played a role in its development. The best advice is always given by a licensed physician, which I am not so be sure to ask your doctor before coming to any definitive conclusions.

How bad are diet pills for 17 year-old?

I would not recomend a diet pill unless you have been declared by a doctor to be obese. If you have been then ask you're doctor what kind of diet pill you should take.
