It is a matter of personal opinion. If you want to be with her, then yes, you can. If you don't, then that's fine. You are not a bad owner if you leave your dog to be put down alone. A dog is a dog, and it doesn't know what's happening, so it won't mind. It will be just like when you leave your dog alone for other reasons, such as: going to work, going to bed, etc. Personally, I am against euthanasia for all reasons. I hope this helps!
no you should never put a dog down. its a horrible thing that I can't stress enough. train it or give it to someone who can but don't put it down.
what you should do is sound proof your basement then when the fireworks start put your dog down there and it should keep it calm.
Aww if the dog is suffering i think it would be best for the dog i no how you feel my dog had trouble breathing and we put him down at the age of 3 :'( i do miss him but atleast we no hes in a beter place x

NO
Uhhh Maybey you should bury him (in his favorite spot)
It may be because they are ill, or cannot be treated and the only humane option being to put the dog down.
Once the dog has been put down, there is not much that you can do. However, it is suggested that before you get another dog you educate yourself on dog behavior and proper training. There are many sources on the Internet. Your local shelter can also help with many training issues.
Have the dog sitting first, then take your hand (which should have a small treat in it) and put it in front of the dogs face. Then lower your hand down to the ground- the dog should be lying down now. Once it lies down you can say the Command of "Lie Down" and give the dog the treat- repeat as many times as needed until the dog learns the command.
Definitely don't put him down. If the dog's owner can't handle him, he should take him to a local dog rescue group or the humane society. They have trainers there who know how to work with aggressive dogs, and they'll be the best ones to decide what to do with him. Sometimes (especially if the dog is young) they can be turned around with the right training and will be excellent pets in the future. So at the very least give the dog to someone who is a professional handler to see if they can make a difference before choosing to put him down.
yes people say the dog is mean and should be put down but its a friendly dog its only mean on how its raised it has nothing to do with the dog itself :)
