1. GOD THAT IS EVERYWHERE:

This is a popular belief among Hindus. Even people of other religions have this belief. The popularity of this belief can't be found out because the belief doesn't manifest in any form in the real world.

However, it is just a belief and not a fact. God in this form is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. It makes our entire life better. It also unites people of all religions.

However, we can't understand god in this form.

2. GOD THAT IS THERE IN THE IDOL:

The idol symbolizes the god. God in this form is meant to solve specific problems. God diverts all our interest to the single task we wish to succeed in. It is the simplest, earliest and the most popular belief. The believe manifests in the real world as rituals.

This belief doesn't exist in monotheistic religions.

3. GOD THAT IS WITHIN US:

Many sacred people have claimed that god is within us and not in places of worship. God within us is a fact and not a belief.

According to Manu Smriti 1.11 Purusha, who is famed as Brahman, is both real and unreal.

It is not mentioned in Hindu sacred books what Purusha actually is. However, it is very obvious that it is same as the isometric component of our skeletal muscular system acting as a single unit.

1. Purusha can contract and relax (temporarily harden and soften) Virtually. If Purusha is slightly harder (say1%) at the skin than at the skeleton (0%), Then 100% isometric contraction would be outside our body. It is this kind of virtual isometric contraction of our Purusha that gives us the feeling that god is everywhere.

2. Even if we believe that god is within an idol it still means that god is within us. In this case the Purusha would be contracting virtually from the idol. The gradient would be such that the back of Purusha would have 0% tone and front of it would have a higher tone.

Thus, if we want to understand god and religion we must believe that god is within us and nowhere else.

Thus, whether we believe that god is within us, in an idol or everywhere it means that god is within us only. Thus, we can't understand god without accepting the fact that god is within us.

However, as an ordinary Hindu we shouldn't believe that god is within us. Even though the belief makes our god highly reliable, it minimizes our progress. This is because we would be considering all possibilities, give equal importance to all activities, minimize risk and thus drastically reduce our growth rate.

Thus, we have to believe that god is in the idol and everywhere. We have to accept the fact that god is within us if and only if we want to understand the true nature of god.

It is not enough for us to believe that God is within or God is everywhere. How will believing help? We have to know it. And we will know it, not when we believe but when we realize it. When we realize we are not this body, we are not the mind, not the ego, then we realize we are the Divine Soul, the Spirit, the life that is God energy. When we realize we are nothing but God energy, we realize everybody around us is also God energy. This makes us realize God in every living creature, man or beast. We further realize that even the mountains and the oceans, every particle of matter is nothing but energy. Then we start seeing everything beautiful as a manifestation of God. This journey is called God-realization and it starts with self-realization.

Where would be the perfect place to pray to God?

The perfect place to pray to God is here, the time is now. God is everywhere around us, God is in everything. God doesn't live in a temple or a church, God lives in the temple of our heart, the kingdom of God is within. Therefore, we should not search for a place that is perfect to pray to God. God is within us. All we need to do is go within, to shut off the outside world, then we will find that perfect connection with God and we will be able to perform the perfect prayer. Remember, God is not outside, God is inside.

First, there's no such concept within Judaism as separation from God, because Jews believe God is everywhere. It can be written הבדלה מם האלוקים (havdalah min ha-elohim), but that will look very strange to anyone who can read Hebrew.
