No. The older practice of "filling it to the gills" has disappeared, and with good reason. It was unnecessary and wasteful, as spillage was very common with it. When the pump automatically shuts off, the tank is "full" to about the bottom of the fill pipe - exactly where it should be. Filling the tank to the top of the fill pipe would almost certainly give you false readings in the engines computer about the fuel system - like a constant "Check Engine" or "Check Fuel Cap" sign in the dashboard display.

Your vehicle has an electric fuel pump in the fuel tank. Tapping or pounding on the fuel tank to start the engine usually means the fuel pump is bad. When the fuel pump is running its own inertia allows the pump to continue to run but when the engine is shut down and the pump stops it now needs a "shock" to restart and continue service.
This is an accessory item to the fill pump.
yes should be a reservoir cap on top of steering pump
Your fuel pump should ALWAYS run while you drive, because it's electric and if the fuel pump wasn't running the gas wouldn't move through the car.
In case of emergency, if the cylinder stops, the motor does not. So it can be harmful for motor. Designers couple the high power motor to the cylinder of pump by means of a clutch. so the motor can continue to rotate while the cylinder stops. Also in case of closing the outlet valve of a pump, the pressure in the cylinder can fail the cylinder or crankshaft and accessories. in this case the clutch can separate the power from motor to the pump and prevent failure of pump.
Starts and stops the fuel pump at the correct time.
Pump will fill the converter when started however running the pump dry may cause damage to the pump
When your fuel pump stops working so does your car you should hear a high pitch whine coming from the rear of vehicle when you turn the key to run
Starts and stops the fuel pump depending on fuel pressure.

After you install your water pump, fill with radiator fluid. Then start your engine with the radiator cap off. run your engine until it warms up. You will see bubbles forming in your radiator. When the level rises and stops bubbling out, install the cap back on. Dont fill your radiator if your car is on a downhill, you will prevent air from purging out.
