The tradition of checking to the end once a player is all-in doesn't make any strategic sense. You are still up against an opponent with a stack and you should play appropriately. If that means betting, then yes, you should be into the dry pot.
Further to this, if you can force additional opponents to fold your chance at the main pot also increases. This of course also increases the all in player's chance at the pot, but all at the expense of the player who folded (not your's).
