Assuming that three dogs would not be a financial burden on the family (considering vet visits alone), dogs enjoy being with a pack and having other dogs to interact with. If you plan to breed the animals, two females and one male would be best. If breeding is not planned, spaying/neutering is highly recommended and it then wouldn't matter what genders the three dogs are. Spaying/neutering is healthier for a dog, makes them calmer and less likely to run from home. Neutering males especially will minimize their instinct to roam and continuously look for females to mate with.
