Do you mean router password or password to access your wireless network? If they just want to access the net with your network then:
If you and your neighbor know each other well then I don't see the problem, tell them they have a certain limit (like 1gb allowance) and if your router is like mine you can monitor usage from the different devices connected to the network, so once they go over there limit you can block their device until the end of the month.
If they want your actual router password then don't do it. If you do give them your password to access the net from your network keep that password different from your routers password.
You should use the following: username: admin password: password If that doesn't work then reset the router and try again. It should work.
Power on the router and press the reset switch for 30 second which is located bottom of the router, after restart the router and it will asked u to give the user name and password for use. By default the user name : Admin & the password : Admin.
Since I am familiar with linksys router I will use that If it is your router you are connecting to, do the following to get the password: Open up your web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. A screen should pop up asking you for a user name and password. Leave the username field empty and enter "admin" for the password, then hit enter. You should then see a list of tabs on the top pf the screen, click on the one that says "wireless". Underneath you should see a tab that says "wireless security" click on that. If you are using WPA/WPA2, look for WPA preshared key. If you are using WEP then look for paraphrase or key 1-4 and that will be the password to connect to the wireless router If you are trying to connect to a router that is not yours then you will need to ask the person whos router it is you are trying to connect to. NOTE: if it is a wireless network owned by a business and it is protected most likely they will not give you the password unless you are working for them.
Its very easy.... Goto http://192.168.1.1/ Then give username and password both as admin Choose quick setup and keep all defaults Choose password and enter in the same Close and reboot.

Your wireless network name, known as the SSID. This name identifies your network. You should choose something unique that none of your neighbors will be using. 2. Wireless encryption (WEP) or Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), which help protect your wireless network. For most routers, you will provide a passphrase that your router uses to generate several keys. Make sure your passphrase is unique and long (you don't need to memorize it). 3. Your administrative password, which controls your wireless network. Just like any other password, it should not be a word that you can find in the dictionary, and it should be a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Be sure you can remember this password, because you'll need it if you ever have to change your router's settings. The exact steps you follow to configure these settings will vary depending on the type of router you have. After each configuration setting, be sure to click Save Settings, Apply, or OK to save your changes.

If you think anything of it, you should think your boyfriend is very smart. Why would you even think he should give you his password? Husbands and wives don't even give their spouse their passwords. Giving your password to anyone defeats the purpose of passwords, which is to keep your accounts private and protected.
No one but Simon himself knows the password to his account, and that is also how it should and will remain. WikiAnswers users will not give out private information, such as password, even if they had the access to the information.
